aCalendar offers Public Holidays for over 50 countries, some with subregions.
We stick to official public holidays (unlike some cloud calendars).
Additionally, we offer School Holidays for 6 countries.
Adding holidays to aCalendar
To configure holidays, please go to the calendar list (MENU - Manage Calendars). To add new holiday calendars press the + button at the bottom of the calendar list. For public holidays, there is also a direct add button on top and after adding public holidays, you will be prompted for school holidays, if available.
Wrong or missing dates
Please make sure you are using public holidays from aCalendar, not from other sources, like Google Calendar.
You can see where your events come from at the top of the event details (calendars from aCalendar are marked with an a, calendars from a Google Calendar are marked with a G).
You can manage your calendars in the calendar list. If a Google holiday calendar comes back automatically after being turned off, please disable this in the Google Calendar app.
If you find an error in aCalendar's data, please let us know (ideally with reference to an official source).

We currently don't offer public holidays for Israel in aCalendar. You can subscribe to them in Google calendar or from aCalendar store (separate app with paid subscription).
We'd love to integrate them directly but it proves extremely difficult to find reliable information in English language about how holidays are handled exactly.
